Died June 1, 1987, Mountain Home, Baxter County, Arkansas.

Obituary
Oscar Chapman, 70, of Lone Rock, died June 1 at the Baxter County Regional Hoapital. A lifetime resident, Mr. Chapman was a landscape construction laborer. He was a member of the Lone Rock Church of Christ and he was a veteran who served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Chapman was born March 19, 1917, at Lone Rock to Frances (Sanders) and Ossarro Chapman. He married Lena Parnell Sep 7, 1946.
Survivors are his wife, of the home, sons Dale and Dennis of Lone Rock and Gary of Rochester, Washington, a daughter, Lavenda Adams of Buford, borthers, Marvin of Mt. Home, Wilson of Norfork and John of Arkana; sisters, Vivian Chapman and Dorothy Bench and Mary Hurst, all of Lone Rock, Tiney Freeman of Loions, OR, nine grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was a son Duane and two brothers and one sister.
Graveside services were held Thursday, June 4, at the Brunt Schoolhouse Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Howard officiating. The North Central Arkansas Veterans Council and the American Legion Post No. 52 conducted graveside military honors. Pallbearers wer Delman Parnell, Ronnie Parnell, Calude Beavers, Ray Asplin, Lonnie Chapman and Lewis Bench. Russell Razor was honorary pallbearer.
Arrangements were by Roller Funeral Home.
