Died October 13, 1956, Mountain Home, Baxter County, Arkansas.

Last rites for Osro Chapman, 78, of Lone Rock, who died Saturday morning in a local hospital, were held Monday at 2PM at Brunt Schoolhouse with Rev Joe Howard officiating.
Born May 12, 1878, in Kentucy, Mr. Chapman was the son of the late John and Nancy Sword Chapman. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his widow, Frances of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Grace Elledge of Poplar Bluff, MO, Mrs. Dina Freeman of Westaton, OR, Mrs. Dorothy Bench of Lone Rock, Mrs. Mary Hurst of Norfork and Vivian Chapman of the home; six sons, Edgar and Marvin of Mt. Home, Oscar, John and Harvey of Lone Rock and Wilson of Norfork; a brother, Jim of Sacramento, CA; a sister Mrs. Columbia Richardson of Fort Smith; 28 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Interment was in Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery under the direciton of Roller Funeral Home.
