Obituary
Funeral services for William Riley Beavers, 74, lifetime resident of Baxter County, who died in a local hospital Tuesday of last week, were held at 2PM Friday at Burnt Schoolhouse with Rev. Donald Cook officiating.
Beavers, a resident of the Lone Rock community, was born February 6, 1881, near Buford. He was the son of the late Samuel and Liza Jane Beavers. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and was engaged in farming.
Among the survivors are his wife of the home; five sons, Albert Beavers of Memphis, TN, Evert Beavers of Lone Rock, Clarence Beavers of Madill, OK, Melton Beavers of India and Seth Beavers of Oakland, CA; a daughter Mrs. Jewell Straeter of Hollister, MO; 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Burial was in the cemetery at Burnt Schoolhouse with arrangement under the direction of the Roller Funeral Home.
