Mr. Young Abercrombie departed this life Feb. 14, 1888, aged 83 years, 10 months and 7 days. The subject of this sketch was a member of the M.E. Church, South for sixty years and of the Masonic fraternity fifty-three years and was a constant member of both until death. His remains were interred at the Baptist church cemetery on Butler Creek Feb. 15, 1888 with Masonic honors in the presence of a large assembly of relatives and friends.
