ROGERS — Billy Brace, 80, of Rogers, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sept. 5, 2017. Graveside service set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8 at the funeral home.

Billy Joe Brace, 80, of Rogers, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on September 5 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.

He was born January 12, 1937 in Rogers to Earnest Fenton Brace and Elsie Vera Edith Guyll Brace. He married Melba J. Townzen December 20, 1958. He was a self-employed carpenter, loved deer hunting, gardening and dominos. He was a jokester who loved his family and grandkids very much. Billy loved to read the Bible especially the book of Revelation and was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Rogers. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Melba; a daughter-in-law, Theresa Brace; a brother, Lester Brace and a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Herron.

Survivors are a son, Billy Brace of Rogers; six daughters, Sherry Brace and partner, Kathleen Hale of Fayetteville, Pam Dye and husband, Ricky of Garfield, Kathy Lovstead and husband Bob of Seligman, Kim Williamson and husband Mark of Rogers, Jessica Brace and partner, Justin Foster of Rogers, Jennifer Taylor and husband, Anthony of Centerton; two brothers, James Guyll and Junior Brace of Rogers; four sisters, Anabelle Elders of Huntsville, Betty Townsend, Glenda Mulkey, and Janet Henson of Rogers; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren.

Graveside service is set for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 9 at Walnut Hill Cemetery with Brother Travis Baker officiating. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, September 8 at the funeral home.

Melba J. Brace, 64, of Rogers went to be with her Lord Jesus July 13, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital.

She was born Aug. 25, 1941, in Avoca to the late Oscar Townzen and Gertrude Marie Jordan Townzen.

She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Brace of Rogers; one son, Billy Brace and his wife Theresa of Rogers; six daughters, Sherry Brace of Fayetteville, Pam Dye and her husband Rick of Garfield, Kathy Lovstad and her husband Bob of Pea Ridge, Kim Baker and her husband Bobby of Rogers, Jessica Brace and Jennifer Brace, both of Rogers; two brothers, Dean Townzen of Bella Vista and Lonnie Townzen of Little Flock; two sisters, Norma Simpson of Farmington and Linda Kissinger of Siloam Springs; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with Pastor Ron Fields officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 14 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Billy Lee Brace, Eric Brace, Jimmy Herron, Ryan Mears, Travis Baker and Caleb Dye.

Joshua Baker will serve as honorary pallbearer.
