Maude Reta Collier was born in Oro City, Colo. Jan. 16, 1892; died at her home west of Gravette Oct. 20, 1918, aged 26 years. Only a few days ago Miss Collier returned from Colorado and last week went to Garfield to take her work as rural mail carrier. Saturday she was brought home sick, afflicted with influenza-pneumonia. Her sudden passing is a shock to her family and a host of friends. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Collier, and five brothers and sisters, Phyllis, Melvin, Thurman, Gladys and Alcesta. Miss Collier was a very active worker in church life, a member of the Christian church. Rev. R.L. Jackson conducted the funeral at Dow cemetery where the body was laid to rest Tuesday. The sympathy of all goes out to the bereaved family.
