FARMINGTON — Dorotha Garriott Bridenthal Neal, 81, died May 5, 2009, at St. Edward’s Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith. She was born Sept. 27, 1927, in Fayetteville to Earl and Myrtle Bogan Garriott.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas H. Bridenthal.
Survivors include two daughters; five grandchildren.
She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Fayetteville.
She officially retired from the University of Arkansas Counseling and Psychological Services in November 2005. She served the UA Health Services for 36 years and loved her job as office manager.
Services were held May 8 at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial was in Farmington Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Ave., Little Rock, 72207 or the American Heart Association, Memorial & Tribute Processing Center, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, Kan., 66601-1653
