Services for Anna Weatherford Climer of Norfork will be at 10AM today at the Norfork Church of Christ with Bro. Don Pfalser officiating. Mrs. Climer died Friday (Jan 2, 1998) at Baxter County Regional Hospital. She was 88.
Visitation was noon-8PM Sunday at Kirby Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 7-8PM. Burial will be at Norfork Cemetery with Stevie Weatherford, Alvin Reynolds, Melvin Small, Mike Weatherford, Derrick Weatherford and Dale Greer serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be O.C. Simpson, Bobby Simpson, Steve Smith, Lee Gray and Warren Gragg.
A Norfork native, Mrs. Climer was born there April 1, 1909, a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Martha Starett Small. A housewife, she and the late Fred Climer were married Nov 22, 1973, at Norfork. Mrs. Climer was a member of Norfork Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, E.J. Weatherford and wife, Jeanne, of Salesville, and Ronnie Weatherford and wife, Connie, of Stigler, OK; two daughters, Juanita Yancey and husband, Dusty of Medford, OR and Anita Caraway of Norfork; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; a step daughter, Hazel Harris of Mt. Home. She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Elmer Weatherford and Fred Climer; four brothers, three sisters, two granddaughters and a daughter.
Kirby and Family and the US Forest Service have provided for a planting of a tree as a living memorial and tribute to Mrs. Climer.
