Services for Sid Skidmore, 83, of Norfork will be a 2PM Tuesday at the Norfork Baptist Church with Bro Doug Huskey officiating. Mr. Skidmore died Friday (Feb 16, 2001) at Calico Rock Medical Center.
He was born Oct 18, 1917, at Dolph, to the late John Madison and Willie Caldonia Powell Skidmore. He married the former Bernice Lorene Killian on Feb 12, 1946, at Norfork. He was a Grand Mason of the Adams Lodge in Norfork and was a Presbyterian.
He is survived by a daughter, Marcia Kelley of Norfork; grandsons, Gregg Skidmore and Patrick Kelly, both of Norfork; a sister Hazel Skidmore of Norfork; several nieces and nephews; and many other friends and family. Mr. Skidmore was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 6-8PM Monday at Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Calico Rock.
Burial will be in Norfork Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brady Stewart, Steven Hood, Jason Clark, Davis Havner, Ashley Lawson and Roger Sweet. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Lawrence, Jimmy Light, Roe Whitfield, Lewis Alexander, Willie Parnell and Allen Stamper.
Memorials may be made to the Adams Lodge in Norfork.
Arrangements are by Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
