NORMAN D. BUCKBEE OF CALICO ROCK was born February 19, 1934 in Lyons, Kansas. He died June 3, 1998 at the Medical Center of Calico Rock. He was 64.
Mr. Buckbee was united in marriage to Lonne Finley January 10, 1998 in Calico Rock. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of horses. He was a member of Wise Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Boyd Buckbee of Kansas, Richard Buckbee of Mt. Home and David Ritter and Carroll Ritter both of Calico Rock; two daughter Carol Stannes of Kansas and Brenda Utter of Calico Rock; and nine grandchildren, Russell, Melissa, Sara, Ashley, Cynthia, Christopher, Carroll, Jr., Bryan and Brandon. Funeral services were held June 6, 1998, at Wise Chapel Missionary Baptist Chruch with Elder Mike Haney officiating. Pallbearers were Rick Smithson, Gerald Wyatt, Rickey Sherrill, Billy Bowman, Bo Story and Gene Story. Interment was at Trimble Campground Cemetery in Dolph under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Mt. Home.
