GALEN BADE BOWKER OF NORFORK, son of the late Galen and Norma Bade Bowker, was born July 12, 1918 at Steven Point, WI. He died December 21, 1998 at his home in Norfork. He was 80.
Mr. Bowker was united in marriage to Marian Emma Frost September 15, 1939, in Lenwood, WI. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Trimble Campground Comberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Sandra Bowker of Jackson Mississippi, Richard and Ann Bowker of Bayfield, Wisconsin, Jerry and Sally Bowker of Menomonie, Wisconsin and Randal and Linda of Norfork; two sisters, Harriet Heinze of Dayton, Ohio and Delores Frost of Plainfield, Wisconsin; one brother, Garth Bowker of Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one grandson. Services were held December 24, 1998, at Trimble Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Chruch in Dolph with Brother Wayne Wood and Brother Dave Williamson officiating. Pallbearers were Jed Cowgill, Jamie Cowgill, Stephen Hicks, Eric Wildhagen, Jerry Meisner and Jerry Dockins. Honorary pallbearers were Arthur Langston, Jimmy Freeman, Chick Krouse, Todd Sanders, Hale Moody and Lee Cowgill. Interment was at Trimble Campgorund Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
