MARIAN EMMA BOWKER daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie Church Frost, was born November 9, 1920, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. She died March 9, 1997 at her home in Norfork. Mrs. Bowker wsa united in marriage to Galen Bowker September 15, 1939, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. They lived in Wisconsin for 27 years and moved to Norfork in 1966. She was a member of the Trimble Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Galen Bowker of Norfork; four sons and their wives, Robert and Sandra Bowker of Jackson, Mississippi, Richard and Ann Bowker of Bayfield, Wisconsin, Jerry and Sally Bowker of Menomonie, Wisconsin and Jim Frost of Elk Grove, Illinois; two sisters, Irma Coddington of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and Betty Jeffcoat of Lubbock, Texas; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild. Services were held March 12, 1997, at the Trimble Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Dolph with Brother Dave Williamson and Brother Wayne Wood officiating. Pallbearers were Jerry Meinzer, Jerry Dockins, Jamie Cowgill, Jim Freeman, Mark Sanders and Marty Sanders. Honorary pallbearers were Todd Sanders and Arthur Langston. Interment was at the Trimble Campground Cemetery in Dolph under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
