Visitation for Lela Martin Blair of Mt. Home will be 9AM until 9PM today with the family receiving friends 6-8PM at Roller Funeral Home. Mrs. Blair, 83, died Tuesday (Sep 29, 1992)at Baxter County Regional Hospital.
Services will be at 2PM Friday at Roller Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Jackson and the Rev. Dr. David L. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Norfork Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband D.C. Blair, at home; her son, Robert Logan and his wife, Louise Martin of Denver CO; two daughters, Hazel J. Alexander of Little Rock and Ruby L. Jackson and her husband the Rev. Gerald Jackson of Little Rock; three sisters, Euna Wallace of Mt. Home, Faye Peterson of Kansas City, KS and Trilby Reed of Portland, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter Logan and Callie Chastain Watley; her first husband, Rudolph M. Martin; one daughter, two brothers; two sisters; one grandchild; and one great grandchild.
Mrs. Blair was a lifelong resident of Baxter County and owned and operated Martin Grocery Store at Norfork for 20 years. Mrs. Blair taught school at Baxter County for 10 years. She was born July 22, 1909, at Berry. She attended Mt. Home College and received a teaching certificate in the early 1920s. She married D.C. Blair Dec 8, 1991, at Mt. Home. Mrs. Blair was a member of the Mt. Home First Baptist church.
Memorial may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
