Marriage: 1815 Lawrence County, Arkansas

James Finis Trimble son of John Trimble and Margret (Matthews) Trimble. James Finis Trimble husband of Phoebe G (Walker) Trimble daughter of John Adam Walker and Caroline Sarah (Blair) Walker. James born in Augusta County, Virginia and died Dolph, Izard County, Arkansas. Phoebe was born in North Carolina died Dolph, Izard County, Arkansas.

James Finis Trimble and Phoebe G (Walker) Trimble gave the land for the cemetery and church.

Note: I don't know if it is true but even though Phoebe's name is on this grave it is said that she and James were fighting when he died and she refused to be buried next to him. Supposedly she is buried on the other side of the cemetery.

Monument note this is called a tent monument and was often used during the time period. A modern monument is directly in front of this.
