The remains of Eugene Crafton 36, who died in a Little Rock hospital Sunday afternoon about 3 o'clock, were brought to Newport late yesterday by the Newport Funeral Home and taken to Norfork, Mr. Crafton's former home, today where funeral services were held at 1 o'clock this afternoon at the home of his sister, Mrs. G.A. Garner.
Mr. Crafton became ill in a North Little Rock store Saturday afternoon and was removed to the hospital. A post mortem examination showed that the cause of death was peritonitis.
Mr. Crafton is survived by his widow, the former Miss Rosie Sandefur, whom he married in 1925; his mother, Mrs. Frances (Watson) Crafton of Norfork; two sisters, Mrs. W. T. Mayer of Newport and Mrs. G.A. Garner of Norfork.
Interment was made in the Norfork Cemetery following the funeral service.
