Donald Leo Jester Sr.

FORT SMITH — Donald Leo Jester Sr., 68, of Fort Smith died July 2, 2006, at his home. He was born Nov. 12, 1937, in Bentonville to Charles Albert Jester and Adearnae McNelly Jester. He was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gayle Harshburger Jester, who died on July 11, 2002, and one daughter, Toka Gayle Jester.

Survivors include one daughter Mary Ann Cotton and husband Kenny of Fort Smith; two sons, Donald Jester Jr. and his wife Annette of Hackett, William Keith Jester and wife Cris of Dubuque, Iowa; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, Lawrence Jester of Missouri, Terry Jester of Kansas and Robert Moore of Missouri; one sister, Ruth Ann Roughton of Missouri; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakes Cemetery with Roy Roughton officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren. Arrangements are by Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers.

VAN BUREN — Mary Gayle Harshburger Jester, 55, of Van Buren died July 11, 2002, at her home. She was born Dec. ll, 1945, in Van Buren to Samuel James and Lucille Sallee Harshburger. She was a former employee of Small World in Van Buren and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by one daughter; Toka Gayle Jester.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Jester Sr. of the home; one daughter; Mary Ann Cotton and husband Kenny of Fort Smith; two sons, Donald Jester Jr. and wife Annette of Hackett and William Keith Jester of Dubuque, Iowa; six grandchildren; three brothers, Gary Don Harshburger and Randy McClaren, both of Van Buren, and Monty McClaren of Alma; three sisters, Judy Carol Wilson and Peggy McCain, both of Van Buren, and Patty Estep of Rogers.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Oakes Cemetery north of Bentonville with the Rev. Roy Roughton officiating.

Arrangements are by Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers.
