March 30, 1903 - October 18, 1968
Carl Leslie Barnes, 65, of Rollo, Ark., died Friday in a local nursing home after an illness of several months. Barnes was born in Oakland Mills, Iowa, on March 30, 1903, the son of Charles Wesley and Alice Shults Barnes. He was a former resident of Lawson and a member of the Rhodes Chapel Methodist Church of Lawson. Survivors include two daughters; two sons; four brothers, Samuel Nelson Barnes of El Dorado, Joseph S. Barnes of Rollo, Thomas B. Barnes of Hermitage, Ark., and Chris F. Barnes of Eugene, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Lutecia Naramore and Mrs. Helen Dunn, both of Klamath Falls, Ore. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Rumph Mortuary. (El Dorado Times - October 19, 1968)
