Charles Eldon Whitehead, 50, a former resident of Salesville, died Saturday at Davenport General Hospital in Davenport, Iowa. He was a resident of Buffalo, Iowa.
Funeral services for Mr. Whitehead will be at 2PM Wednesday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Forrest Bynum officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 9PM at Roller Funeral Home. Burial will be at Norfork Cemetery. Mr. Whitehead was born Sep 20, 1935, at Norfork and married Ruby Duggins on Dec 25, 1957, at Nellville. He was supervisor of production at Davenport Cement Company. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Eugene Whitehead and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife at home: his mother and step father, Lela Helms Wheeler and Frank Wheeler of Norfork; three sons, Michael Whitehead with the US Navy at Brunswick, Maine, Randal Whitehead with the US Navy at Adak, Alaska, and Richard Whiehead of Buffalo; two daughters, Cindy Whitehead and Kathy Hicks, both of Buffalo; three brothers, James Whitehead of Salesville, Kenneth Whitehead of Mt. Home and Carroll Whitehead of Norfork; a sister, Dorothy Williams of Arkadelphia; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Eugene Whitehead, Jeffery Whitehead, Allan Whitehead, Bryan Whitehead, Bruce Whitehead, Steven Whitehead, Terry Whitehead and Scott Williams.
