Herbert Stroud

Herbert Franklin Stroud, 89, of Pea Ridge, died Sunday, March 3, at Rogers.

Born Dec. 23, 1901, near Stroud's Spring in Benton County to Albert Stroud and Anna Mae Pierce Stroud, he spent most of his life in Benton County. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter in 1930, and his wife, Mary Elizabeth, in 1988.

Survivors are two sons, Donald Stroud of Houston, Texas, and Joseph Stroud of Bentonville; a daughter, June Easley of Pea Ridge; a sister, Emma Greene of Lebanon, Mo.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sisco Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Womack officiating. Burial is to be in Dug Hill Cemetety at Bella Vista. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge. Visitation is set for 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
