Obituary
Sherry Lou Stevens, 67, passed away peacefully on February 05, 2021 at her Mountain View home. She was born June 24, 1953 in Batesville, Arkansas, to Marjorie Lowe and Franklin Martin.
Sherry was a 1971 graduate of Mountain View High School. She married Gregory Stevens March 30, 1974 in Mountain View. She worked as a federal employee for the USDA Rural Development Housing, displaying an unmatched work ethic and keen eye to detail. Sherry lived life to the fullest with simple pleasures; spending time with family and friends, playing the piano, sewing, making stained glass art, and being an active part of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's life. Sherry was a member of Flatwoods Missionary Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing the piano for the Live Wires Group. She was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.
Sherry is survived by her loving husband of forty-six years, Gregory Stevens: one son, Daniel (Heather) Stevens: mother, Marjorie Lowe: two sisters, Lesley Lowe, and Brenda Massey and husband: two brothers, Ricky Martin and wife, and brother Dean (Bonnie) Vincent: granddaughter, Haleigh (Nick) Martinez: grandson, Zachery Stevens: granddaughter Josie Stevens; one great-granddaughter MaKenna Martinez. Sherry is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends who's lives Sherry touched.
Sherry is preceded in death by her father Franklin Martin.
A visitation will be held Saturday, February 06, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the Flatwoods Missionary Baptist Church, in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. Brother Jonathon Johnson will be officiating the service. Interment will take place at the Flatwoods Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Dan Stevens, Zachery Stevens, Nick Martinez, Ethan Bowlin, Jacob Bowlin, and Eric Mitchell.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mike Conrade, Ed Carr, Ricky Martin, Dean Vincent, Steve Mitchell, and Randy Stevens.
