Terry Lamont Todd was born December 20,1957 passed away Sunday December 10, 2023 at 65 years of age, from complications with Parkinson’s disease. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Jane Gray Todd, son Ryan Gray Todd (Nora) and daughter Haley Lauren Todd. He was preceded in death by his parents Reba and Marlin Todd as well as his oldest daughter Lindsey Elizabeth (Todd) Powell. He is also survived by three granddaughters, Lindsey Todd, Carrie Powell and Lorelei Pippin two grandsons, Drew Powell and Brodie Pippin and son-n-law Andrew (Andy) Powell, as well as a brother Arlin Todd and one nephew, Marlin Todd, one niece Theresa Todd Walker, and great niece Krystina Chumley.

Terry began his career with Union Pacific Railroad at age 19. He was a UP train engineer for 41 years. Retiring January of 2018. During his tenure he held continuous membership of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen. During this time he was elected as his local’s Secretary-Treasurer from 1998 – 2002, He was elected to six terms as their Chairman between 2002 and his retirement in 2018. He also held officer positions on various boards. He was a member of the Arkansas State AFL-CIO Executive Committee beginning in 2001 until 2018 and served as a National Division Representative on the Rail Safety Advisory Committee’s (RSAC) working group for Hours of Service.

He was very committed to his family first and his Union family second. He spent many hours on the phone and computer weekly aiding his union members and consulting and discussing with peers regarding what was best for his local members as well as all members throughout the state regarding and in comparison with all other states in relation to their rules and regulations.

He enjoyed hunting on his land in Harrell, AR that had been in his family for generations. The last time he had the opportunity to deer hunt he killed two bucks within minutes of each other.

A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday the 20th at 1 p.m. at the Teamsters Union Hall, 6000 Patterson Road, Little Rock, AR.
