February 28, 1892 - November 19, 1964
James Noah Gorman, 73, of Rt. 4, Camden, died Thursday in a local nursing home following a short illness. Mr. Gorman was born in Hermitage and was a retired log contractor. He had lived in the Camden area for the past 61 years. Mr. Gorman was a member of the China Grove Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Alice Wilson Gorman of Camden; three sons, James Paul Gorman of El Paso, Tex., Wallace Gorman and John D. Gorman, both of El Dorado; six daughters, Mrs. Elmus Whitten of Sparkman, Mrs. J. D. McDiffie of San Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Joe Pat Carmichael of Calion, Mrs. Billy Rhodes of Panama Canal Zone, Mrs. J. S. Addison of Pensacola, Fla., and Mrs. Herbert Crowder of White Sands, N. M. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the China Grove Assembly of God Church near Hampton with Rev. Carlton Ethridge officiating. Burial will be in Moses Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young's. The body will be carried to the family home at 4 p.m. Friday.
