Paul David Sloan, was born on March 4, 1950 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Griffin Alexander Sloan and Velma Hogue Sloan. Griffen his father preceded him in death in 1971. He was educated by the Van Buren Public School system and after high school, he served in the United States Armed Forces. He married the former Shirlene Steel and they had two sons, Brad and Ron. Paul Sloan died on Octoer 26, 1987 after a long illness.
