Nathan Thomas Arnold went to the heavenly home on January 17, 2024. He was born to Dudley William Arnold and Margaret (Perry) Arnold on August 9, 1936, in Sacramento, California. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dudley William Arnold, JR. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Savannah Spears Arnold. Hs is also survived by a sister, Mary Glover of Yukon, Oklahoma, brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Linda Arnold of Greenbrier, and sister-in-law, Carol Arnold formerly of Quitman. He enjoyed the love of several nieces and nephews and some special friends and neighbors.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Heber Springs and served many years as a deacon, teacher, and other officers. He was veteran of the Arkansas National Guard and was on active duty during the Berlin Crisis. He was manager of Cleburne County Motor Company body shop for over 40 years. Although he enjoyed restoring old cars, his real talent and passion was wood working. He built beautiful oak furniture, including hutches, tables, and lamps. He created many bird houses, wood carvings, and artwork.
Friends can see him on Wednesday afternoon, January 24, 2024, from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at Family Funeral Service in Heber Springs. His graveside service will be on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at McNew Cemetery near Greenbrier, Arkansas by Rev. Ed Stephenson at 1:00 PM.
The family appreciates the love and care given to Nathan and Savannah at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab these last few months
