MRS. GLASGOW’S FUNERAL AT TROUTT HOME TUESDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Malinda Ann Glasgow, aged 88 years seven months and five days, who died on Monday, May 4th, 1936, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wood A. Troutt, and family one miles south of Centerton, this county, were held at the Troutt residence at 2:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, the 5th, conducted by the Rev. L.C. Tedford, pastor of the Bentonville Baptist Church. Burial was in the Centerton cemetery and funeral arrangements were in charge of the Burns Funeral Home of Bentonville.

Pallbearers were Keet Gravett, LeRoy Womack, Roy Giger, Dean Goode, Clyde Crouch, and Carthal Troutt.

Mrs. Glasgow was born in Tipper County, Miss., on Sept. 16th, 1848. When a child she moved with her parents to Comanche Springs, Texas, where the family settled. She united with the Baptist Church when quite young and was married at Comanche Springs to Irvin M. Glasgow. They made their home at McGregor, Texas, for many years. Her husband died on January 1919, after they had moved to Oklahoma.

Three children were born to them, all of whom are living. They are Ira and Claude Glasgrow of California, and Mrs. Troutt at whose home Mrs. Glasgow died. She is survived also by three grandchildren, Carl, Rex, and Jiggs Troutt, and by a half-sister and Brother living in Texas.
