FORMER NEW MEXICO MINER DIES AT COUNTY HOME
Grant Gans, 68, years old, died on Friday afternoon, July 17th, 1936, at the Benton County Home where he had lived the past six years. He was born in Eaton, Ohio, July 15th, 1868, and was a miner in New Mexico for 25 years before moving to Lowell nine years ago. He had no nears relatives. He suffered a heart attack Wednesday, his 68th birthday, and survived only two days.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning by Rev. W. B. Hart, chaplain of the Benton County Home and burial was in the city cemetery.
