James Elbert Middleton, 49 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010 at his home.
He was born on May 4, 1960 in Ft. Worth, Texas, worked many years in the oil field, and is a member of First Baptist Church in Magnolia.
He is preceded in death by his father, Elbert Ray Middleton, and a step sister, Jackie McWilliams.
James played rhythm guitar and sang with Gospel Strings for Magnolia Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wentworth Place, Pine Valley, Dudneywood Assisted Living, and Summit Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He is survived by his daughter, Anna Elizabeth Middleton of Corsicana, Texas; mother, Pattie Bell and her husband Tommy of Magnolia, Arkansas; step mother, Charlene Middleton of Magnolia, Arkansas; half brother, Aaron Middleton of Vidalia, Louisiana; step brother, Jeff Johnson of Klamath, Oregon; and step sister, Wendy King of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 10:00 am at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Sayers officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch East Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. Family visitation will be Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Southern Christian Mission, Inc., 515 West Monroe, Magnolia, Arkansas 71753.
Pallbearers will be Mike McWilliams, Vernon Bell, Jason McWilliams, Ronnie Dees, Wayne Morrison, and Buddy Ramsey.
