Leo David "Bigun" Reeves, 69, of Waldo, AR died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Overton Brooks Veterans Hospital in Shreveport, LA.
David was born October 8, 1947 in Waldo, AR to the late Boots and Dorothy Reeves. He formerly was employed and worked several years at Perritt and Vickers. He was a Vietnam Veteran, a member of the Mt. Vernon Community Baptist Church and was a Mason.
David loved spending time with his family and loved his grandchildren dearly. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching NASCAR Racing and UFC.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Judy Reeves; three children Jackie Dodson and husband Franklin of Waldo, John David Reeves and wife Brittany of Magnolia and Brian Reeves and wife Brittany of Magnolia; four grandchildren Kline Dodson and Ellie Dodson of Waldo, Raegan Reeves and Rylee Reeves of Magnolia; one brother Lee Roy Reeves of Buckner; two sisters Brenda Kyle and husband Buddy of Emerson and Kathy Herold and husband Tony of Waldo; a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, March 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch East Baptist Church with Dr. Eric Goble officiating and assisted by Bro. Justin Clark. Burial will follow at Antioch East Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Hicks, Joe Bob Caperton, Wayne Stevens, Andy Hanson, Bobby Hanson, and Terry Hanson.
