Francisco Poncho Quintero was born on August 7, 1952 in Huatabampo, Sonora, Mexico to Francisco Javiere Quintero and Rosa A. Quintero.
He was married to Justina Quintero, for many, many years and was the mother of their children.
“Frank” or “Poncho” as he was often called worked as a skilled laborer. He worked for Henderson Properties, Jean Reed and family, as well as, Joe Berry and family. He loved and believed in God. Frank never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone
“Frank” is survived by his longtime companion, Mary Green of El Dorado, AR; one daughter, Elizabeth Quintero; two sons, Stephen Quintero of Oklahoma, OK and Francisco Quintero Jr., of Lawton, OK; and five grandchildren; one brother, Jose Luis Gastelum, of Tijuana, Mexico; five sisters, Rosa Ameilia Quintero of Huatabampo Mexico, Lupa Quintero of Huatabampo, Sandra Quintero of Mexico City, Mexico, Amelia Quintero of Huatabampo, Mexico and Patty Quintero of Huatabampo, Mexico; his extended family Robert and Natashia Henderson, Joe and Diane Berry, the Sims Mortuary Staff, Rev. Felton Burgie and Earnestine Butler; his bonus children whom he loved as his own, Janice, Travis, Felice, Tammy, Kimberly Henderson and Christopher Henderson.
Public visitation 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Sims Mortuary. Funeral service 11:00 am on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Morning Star #2 Baptist Church with Rev. Felton Burton, officiating. Interment will be at Morning Star Cemetery Unser the direction of Sims Mortuary.
