Ray Gillet, 60, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and of the Nazarene faith. He was a meat cutter for Wal-Mart No. 125. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Marie Gillet, his parents, two sisters, Pearl and Marie, and a brother, Paul. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday in Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Judy L. Gillet of the home; four daughters, Judy Dugan of Alma, Tammy Rogne and Angela Ewald, both of Fort Smith, and Leanna Chrisman of Greenwood; a sister, Lucille Collins of Fort Smith; three brothers, Bill Gillet of California, Jim Gillet of Roland and Tommy Gillet of Fort Smith; 17 grandchildren; and special friends, Norman and Kathy Moore and Charles Glass and many more friends. Pallbearers will be Rudy Salinas, James Bell, Jurden Dugan, Brian Rogne, Peter Ewald and Michael Chrisman. A special thanks to the doctors and nurses of St. Edward Mercy Medical Center for their tender love and care.
