William Eldon Cranford (Bill), born August 3, 1922 died Monday, June 4th in Barling.

He was a proud retired soldier and Veteran of both World War II and Korea, and also a twenty year retiree of Rheem.

He was preceded in death by his parents R.W. (Bill) and Blanche Cranford, wife Leona Cranford, wife Margie Cranford, daughter Rene' Halsey, stepson Harold Rogers, three sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his brother Floyd "Buddy" Cranford of Shawnee, OK; son Terry Cranford of Barling, son-in-law Ken Halsey of Fort Smith, stepson Billy McAfee of Rufe, OK; stepdaughter Sandy Ellis and husband Ken of Poteau, OK; stepdaughter Donna Ross of Olathe, CO and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, June 7th at Fentress Mortuary Chapel officiated by Brandon Halsey, followed by burial and Military Honors at Roselawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.

Pallbearers will be Ken Halsey, Conley Hall, Jim Davis, Buddy Halsey, Mark Kirkendall, and Nicholas Halsey with a special thank you to caregivers Harold Myers, Frank Schlude and Peachtree Hospice.
