Jerry Sienknecht
September 28, 1943 - June 18, 2023

Jerry Sienknecht entered into God’s kingdom on June 18, 2023, in Pocahontas, AR at the age of 79. He was born September 28, 1943, to Robert and Jennie Sienknecht of Tekoa, WA.

Jerry attended high school in Richland, WA and graduated from Boise Junior College in 1963. He was a middle school teacher for four years before working as a surveyor and then entering a long career in construction. Jerry had seven children with his first wife. He later married Virginia Damron Sienknecht, who passed away in 2014 while living at her family farm in Portia, AR. He served as mayor of Portia, AR for a period while they lived there until Virginia’s passing. Jerry’s love for God and of music led him to play piano for numerous churches throughout his adult life, as well as Christian gospel groups in Oregon and Idaho.

Jerry was predeceased by his wife, Virginia Damron Sienknecht; his sister, Patsy Keogh; and his daughter, Denise Elwood.

He is survived by his six children who live in Idaho and California, Doug Sienknecht, Deborah Davidson, Dee Sienknecht, Dianne Donnelly, David Sienknecht, and Dawna Kerbs; as well as his sister, Susan Boyd; and several other relatives and friends.

Interment of his cremains will take place in the Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge.
