Lynn Bumgarner

Lynn Bumgarner, 46, of 2102 Indian Trail, Forrest City, died Wednesday morning at Forrest Memorial Hospital. He had been suffering with a heart condition for the past four years and entered the hospital Tuesday evening and died suddenly without warning Wednesday morning.

Born August 8, 1925, in Parkin, he was the son of Mrs. Willie Lee turner Bumgarner and Joseph L. Bumgarner. He had spent the early part of his life in Bay Village, Ark., and lived in Illinois before moving to Arkansas about 12 years ago.
He was a inspector at the general Electric Lab Division in Memphis and had worked at Warwick prior to that.
Mr. Bumgarner was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Second Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion.
He was married to Miss Lou Batty in 1957. She survives him along with three sons, Jerry Reggie and Lynn II, all of Forrest City; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Montgomery and Miss. Rhonda Bumgarner; his mother, Mrs. Willie Bumgarner of Bay Village; four brothers, Lester, of Mississippi, O. A. and Joe of Forrest City and Roland of Chicago; five sisters, Mrs. Pauline Wood, of Memphis; Miss Dorothy Bumgarner of Bay Village, Mrs. Wylodean Smith of Bay Village, Mrs. Jo Harvey of Memphis and Mrs. Verta May of Bay Village.
Funeral services will be held at the Assembly of God Church in Bay Village at 2 p.m. Friday, April 14, with Rev. Marion Gramling and Rev. Tommy Newton in charge. Burial will follow in the Bay Village Cemetery.
