Charles Curtis Bohannan, 84, of Huntsville, died Friday, June 9, 2023, at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab. He was born Thursday, July 28, 1938, in Alabam, Arkansas, to Jay Bohannan and Carrie Hatfield Bohannan.
Charles was a long-time co-owner of Bill's DX in Huntsville. He loved hunting and fishing and anything he could do on his tractor. He loved to eat all kinds of foods, and he loved to watch westerns.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Bohannan, and his daughter, Shari Bohannan of Huntsville. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Flo and Bill Jones of Alabam, his nephew Brian Jones and wife Tannis Jones of Marble, his niece Lisa Yates and husband Jimmy Yates of Alabam, his niece Arden McElhaney and husband Mark Piccione of Huntsville, and his nephew Scott McElhaney of Long Beach, California.
A visitation is planned for 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Brashears Funeral Home. All friends and family are invited to attend. No funeral is planned at this time. In honor of his favorite dogs, Tadpole and Sugar, and his loyal cat Hank, make donations to Paws and Claws Pet Shelter in Charles's name at PO Box 364, Huntsville, AR 72740. Cremation entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
