Mrs. Alice Corine Beard Wages of Bearden, died suddenly Wednesday at her home. She was the widow of James Henry Wages. Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Malcom Brazeals, Mrs. Ola Meadows of Sparkman, Mrs. Amon Cottrell, and Mrs. Floyd Abbott of Bearden and Mrs. Charlie Crawford of Camden; two brothers, Carroll Beard of Sparkman and Harvey Beard of Groveland, Florida. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Chapel Hill Cemetery, near Sparkman, with Benton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (Camden News - November 11, 1971)
