October 9, 1894 - March 16, 1965
A. J. (Jerry) Nelson, 70, of Junction City, owner and operator of the Gulf Service Station in Junction City, died in a clinic in Bernice, La., Tuesday morning after a short illness. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruth Nelson; two sons, James Milton Nelson, who is serving in the U. S. Air Force in California, and Egbert Henry Nelson, on duty with the U. S. Air Force in Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Eloise Pratt of Junction City; a brother, Jess Nelson of Hot Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Charlie Goss of Tallulah, La., and Mrs. Tillie Hollis of Ruston; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Pratt Funeral Home. (The El Dorado Times - March 17, 1965)
