Frank Hudson, 85, of Fountain Hill, died Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at his son’s residence in Fountain Hill. Mr. Hudson was a native and lifelong resident of Fountain Hill and a member of Eden Baptist Church. He worked as a Forester for Georgia-Pacific for 20 years, and after he retired, he worked as a tomato farmer. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Hudson enjoyed hunting, fishing and working his sawmill. He lived his life as a simple man and, every once in a while, would “stir up trouble” at the Fountain Hill P&D Convenience Store. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Doris Nell Johnson Hudson in 1994; his wife of 24 years, Katharina Gifford Hudson in 2011; a daughter, Audrey Faye Wallis; a granddaughter, Samantha Michelle Hudson; a great-grandson, Joseph Douglas Parks; his parents, Wylie and Tiny Durey Hudson; six brothers, Warner A. “Red” Hudson, Floyd C. Hudson, Jim Thomas Hudson, John Edward “Gunt” Hudson, John Henry “Possum” Hudson, and Ralph Hudson; a sister, Betty Doris Rochester and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Ann Hudson.

He is survived by three sons, Jim Hudson and wife, Denise, and Larry Hudson (Pam Gulledge), all of Fountain Hill, and Doug Hudson and wife, Donna, of Hamburg; a step-son, Karl Gifford and wife, Dwyla, of Wilmar; a brother, Billy Hudson of Fountain Hill; two sisters, Pat Chavis and husband, Roger, of Fountain Hill and Louise Dunemn of Warren; nine grandchildren, Justen Hudson and wife, Meredith, Melinda Adair, Katie Bolin and husband, Dax, Danielle Kreamalmyer and husband, Lance, Heather Williams and husband, Johnny, Stephanie White and husband, Wade, Whitney Parks and husband, Adam, Alyssa Parker and Keith Parker; three step-grandchildren, Jake Gifford, Matthew Gifford and Nicholas Gifford; 13 great-grandchildren, Leah, Reagan, Lincoln, Jenson, Logan, Maylee, Piper, Rylin, Trigger, Kensley Jo, Hudson, Camdyn and Jackson and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are 11 a.m., Thursday, December 15, 2022, in the Flat Creek Cemetery with Bro. J.W. Dobbins officiating. Pallbearers are Joe Chaney, Dicky Savage, Rocky Savage, Carlton Savage, Kevin Maxwell, and Bryan Hall. Honorary pallbearers are Allen Chavis, Kevin Chavis, Timmy Chavis and the women employees of the Fountain Hill P&D Convenience Store. Memorials may be made to the Flat Creek Cemetery Association, PO Box 265, Fountain Hill, AR 71642.
