Juanita Gillis, age 62, of Montrose died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at
Jefferson Regional Medical Center of Pine Bluff, AR. Juanita was born
August 11, 1956 in Portland, AR. She is the daughter of the late Henry Sr. and
the late Mamie (Avery) Robinson. She was the wife of Edward Gillis.
Preceded in death by her father and mother, 3 brothers, Henry Robinson Jr.,
Glen Roy Robinson, Steve Robinson, and 2 sisters, Helen Lewis, and Anita
Polite.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Gillis, two sons, Carlton Gillis and
Gregory Gillis all of Montrose, AR, three sisters, Ruthie Robinson of Montrose, Linda (Raymond)
Dawson of Montrose, and Every (Jonathan) Jenkins of Bossier City, LA, and one brother, George
(Carol) Robinson of Kansas City, MO. She also has two grandchildren Marquesia Gillis, of Montrose
and Chanelle Best of Hamburg, AR, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A wake will be held Friday, September 14 from 6-7pm at Bishop-King Funeral Home. Funeral
Services will be Saturday September 15 at 11am at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church in Montrose,
with burial in Montrose City Cemetery following. Arrangements are entrusted to Bishop-King
Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas.
