Mr. Arthur “Johnny Boy” Wilson, 73,
of Montrose, AR died Wednesday,
December 5, 2018, at his home in
Montrose. He was a native of
Montrose, former resident of
Milwaukee, WI, and lived in Montrose
for the past 40 years. He was a member
of St. Peter Baptist Church, worked as a barber for many years, and did
carpentry work.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Florial Jean SladeWilson, in January of 2016; his parents, Seymore and George Ann
Drumgoole-Wilson; two brothers, Sam and L.B. Wilson; and three
sisters, Azille Wilson, Rosie Harper, and Ella Marie Lovette, in
November of 2017. “Johnny Boy” was a devoted father and grandfather,
who enjoyed playing Dominos and cutting grass. He also enjoyed all
sports, and loved watching football, basketball, and baseball.
He is survived by two daughters, Crystal Giles, of Senatobia, MS, and
Carole Jackson(Derek) of Oklahoma City, OK; two brothers, Vernell
Wilson, of Montrose, AR, and Elmo Wilson, of Indianola, MS; one sister,
Laura Green(Andrew) of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Service will be Saturday, December 15, 2018, 11:00 A.M., at Cromwell
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Byron Lewis officiating. Active
Pallbearers are Larry Woods, Charles Bynum, Michael Wilson, Cameron
McCullough, Kevin Wilson, and Nathen Simmons. Honorary Pallbearers
are his Grandsons.
Burial in Montrose Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral
Home, Inc.
