Max Ray Burge, age 68, of Cave City passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 in Batesville, AR. He was born March 9, 1954 in Batesville to McKinley and Lorene Cooper Burge. He was a Road Grader Operator and was of the Baptist faith. Max enjoyed playing the drums and the bass guitar. He played music for over 58 years. He also enjoyed drag racing.

He was preceded in death by his father; two-step daughters, Crystal Mabes and Cynthia Taylor; and one sister, Florence Hodge.

Survivors include his wife Vicki Burge of the home; his mother; his stepson, Jason Mabes; several grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel with David Perkins and Chip Philips Officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Grange with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jason Mabes, David Perkins, Greg Queary, Aiden Mabes, J.D. Crider and Steven Staggs.

Honorary pallbearers will be Vaughn Riley, Ricky Moser, Larry Moser, Michael Byrd and Dr. Kevin Falwell.
