Claude David Black, Retired Actor, Dies Near War Eagle
Claude David Black, 67, known to his many Benton county friends by his stage name "Billy Kent," died at his home near War Eagle at 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Black was born in Posey county, Ind., the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Black. He had been a resident of the War Eagle community for the last 13 years.
Mr. Black was on the stage as an actor for many years and was known professionally "Billy Kent." He moved to Arkansas soon alter his retirement from the theater.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Estella Blank, and a sister, Mrs. Angie Kelly, Joplin, Mo.
Funeral arrangements are are by the Callison-Porter Funeral Home of Rogers.
