*Obituary
Spencer Vyles, 58 years old, 922 Cedar, Van Buren, died Saturday night, Jan. 27 following a long illness. Born March 5, 1909 in Van Buren, he was the son of C. H. Vyles Sr. who died Nov. 15, 1966, and Mrs, Martha Louise Vyles who is a survivor. He was a member of First Presbyterian church.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. C. H. Vyles Sr. of the home; a brother, C. H. Vyles Jr. of Fort Smith; and a sister, Mrs. Louise Lease of FOrt Smith.
A private funeral service was held Tuesday in Ocker Funeral Home chapel with Virgil Kuhlenschmidt, paster of First Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial was in Gracelawn cemetery.
Casket bearers were David Partain, Archie Hayes, C. J. Franklin, Jim Bennett, Fines Batchelor Sr. and Grady DuVall.
