Coeby James Stevens was born to Gerald and Candace Stevens on August 7, 1978 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
He left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, July 29, 2011.
He graduated from Van Buren Christian Academy in 1996. He attended Arkansas Tech at Russellville and attained his bachelors degree in business marketing and management. He was employed by J.E. Systems in Pocola.
Coeby was a loving son, beloved brother, grandson, nephew and friend to all who knew him. He was a kind and generous man and always willing to help others. His smile was electric and contagious. Coeby was dedicated to his family and cared deeply for his friends and his precious dog, Buda. He will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jim and Della Baker; maternal grandmother, Helena Turner; and baby cousin, Gavin Ponder.
Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday August 3 at First Baptist Church of Van Buren with Mike Mize and Pepper Bourlon officiating.
Coeby leaves behind his parents, Gerald and Candace Stevens of Van Buren; his brother and sister-in-law, Gabe and Amanda Stevens of Cedarville; maternal grandparents, Bill and Joy Turner of Cleveland, Oklahoma; Aunt and Uncle, Artie and Vickie Meek of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Aunt and Uncle, Jimmy and Betty Ponder of Oilton, Oklahoma; cousins, Travis and Mindie Campbell of Broken Arrow, Chase and Katie Turner of Keifer, Okla; Tiffanie Meek of Broken Arrow, Heath, Kurt and Tiffanie Ponder of Drumright, Okla; as well as a host of many other family members and friends.
Pallbearers are Greg Rea, Travis Hiatt, Jason Bellar, Davie Garnaat, Don Mourney and Stu Rapier.
Burial will be at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.
