Jan 22, 1961 - Mar 18, 2021
Ronnie Robert Holliday, 60, of Jacksonville, passed away March 18, 2021. He was born January 22, 1961 in Swanland, England to the late Samuel Robert and Thelma Holliday. In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his grandmother, Virginia Blevins.
Ronnie retired after working at Lomanco, Inc. for twenty years. Earlier in life, he served in the National Guard for six years. Anyone who knew Ronnie knows how much he loved his trucks, especially his 2009 Chevy Silverado. He was rough around the edges, but worked hard to provide for his family, and absolutely adored his grandchildren. We can’t forget to mention how he got a kick out of giving his wife a hard time and we will lovingly remember all the deciphering his family had to do when he spoke.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of thirty-four years, Connie Holliday of Jacksonville; sons, Daniel (Danielle) Holliday of Cabot and Justin (Jessica) Holliday of Austin; grandchildren, Savannah and Fisher Spradling, John Holliday, Decker and Drake Belden, all of Cabot; sister, Martha Null of Benton and lifelong friends, Beth Simons and Jeff Hughes, both of Cabot.
A celebration of Ronnie’s life will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the funeral home. Memorials in Ronnie’s name can be made to the charity of your choice. The family would like to give a special thank you to Ronnie’s doctors and nurses at Hospice Home Care for their excellent care for Ronnie and compassion to Connie. Arrangements by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136.
