October 2, 1808 - February 6, 1854
N.H. Nash was born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 1, 1808 and came to Louisiana as a young man.
His family immigrated from England in the seventeenth century and settled in Massachusetts.
He married Sarah J. Smelser, of German parentage, in Louisiana and from this union they produced F.H. Nash, Augustine Nash (wife of Ephraim Whitman), William S. Nash, twins, Alfred (died in infancy) and Albert Nash, Florence Nash (wife of Connell Rodgers) and Clara Nash (wife of John Curtis)
N.H. Nash moved to Van Buren in 1852 and died on February 6, 1854.
Burial was at Fairview Cemetery.
