November 20, 1935 - August 29, 2011
Bill R. Loyd, 75, of Pearcy went to be with his heavenly Father on August 29, 2011 after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. He was born November 20, 1935 in Buckville to Cecil and Francis Loyd. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, John Andy Loyd. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sue Brooks Loyd; beloved daughter, Leann Loyd Massanelli, precious grandchildren, Trevor and Lauren Massanelli; his canine companion, Miss Daisy; adoring sisters, Frankie Akin, Annette Duncan, Linda Scott and Donna Campbell; two sisters-in-law, Betty Smith and Jane Brooks; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Bill is also leaving to cherish his memory his special nieces, Vickie Meggers and Sandy Lively and great-niece Jessica Cultra. Honorary pallbearers are Bunk Tucker, Rick Rice, James Spears, Jimmy Morris, Richard Newton, Walter Montgomery, Rick Milholen, Steve Cumins, Micah Lambert, Dean Applegate, Chris Davis, Darrell Garner, Larry Leckner, Paul Leckner, Coy Johnson, Jim Fryar, Joe Duncan, Warren Campbell, Dr. Gregg Massanelli, Dr. Kyle Roper, Marni Keck, Greg Meggers, Hunter Lively, Dr. P.K. Reddy and staff, Dr. David Pruitt and staff and all honor guard members past and present. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday at the funeral home with full military honors provided by Thaddeus H. Caraway Post #2278. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the VFW Honor Guard, 2231 East Grand Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901.
