Shelby Luman, age 68, of Hot Springs, died Monday, October 26, 2015.

He was born on April 14, 1947 in Wister, Oklahoma, the son of Charles Hershel Luman and Ruth Juanita Allison Luman. On March 8, 1969, he was married to Sandra Lee Mewmaw Luman. He was preceded in death by one son, Brian Luman; his parents; and one sister, Phyllis Hilmer.

Shelby was a member of Piney Baptist Church. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of Thaddeus H. Caraway, V.F.W. Post #2278 and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Sandi Luman; one son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Margie Luman, all of Hot Springs; four grandchildren, Matt Luman, Chase Luman, Sarah Luman and Amy Luman; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leta Luman of Yukon, Oklahoma, Jan and Sam Bennett of Poteau, Oklahoma and Don Hilmer of Yukon, Oklahoma; nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 30, 2015 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. Larry Catcher officiating.

Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday evening.

Pallbearers will be the Thaddeus H. Caraway, V.F.W. Post #2278.

Honorary pallbearer will be Bro. Larry Catcher.
