RUDDICK, Thomas L. - {from Garfield} Thomas L. Ruddick, oldest son of Wm. Ruddick, died Tuesday morning at their home north of town from the effects of the flu. He leaves a wife and six children, the eldest about 14 years of age.

Thomas L. Ruddick was born January 27, 1882 and died March 2, 1920, aged 38 years, one month and two days. He leaves a wife and six children, a father and mother, four brothers, two sisters and a host of friends to mourn his death. He was a kind father and a loving companion. The entire family was down with the flu and none of them were able to attend the funeral. On the evening before his death he told his wife that he was ready to go. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. G.W. Birks of Bestwater and Elder Ruble of Pea Ridge. The body was laid to rest at Liberty cemetery.

RUDDICK, Pearl Louise MANN - (from Central) Pearl Louise Mann was born near Brightwater, Ark. on July 6th, 1885. Departed this life March 23, 1924 at the age of 38 years, 8 months and 17 days. She was married to Thomas Ruddick on Sept. 18, 1901 and to this union were born seven children, three boys and four girls, all of whom were with her during her last illness and death. She was converted at the age of 16 years and united with the Methodist church and lived a consistent member until God bade the angels to bear her spirit into the haven of everlasting peace and joy. She leaves seven children, two sisters, one brother and a large number of other friends to mourn her death. Mr. Ruddick preceded her in death in 1920. The family wish to thank the many friends who were so kind in assisting to help care for the loving one who has gone, during her sickness and death.

An especially sad obituary notice comes from Central neighborhood recording the death of Mrs. Pearl Ruddick, aged 38 years, 8 months and 17 days, leaving seven children, three boys and four girls, leaving them without either parent, the father, Thomas Reddick{?) having passed away March 4, 1920. She is also survived by her mother, two sisters and one brother. She was born near Brightwater, Ark.
