BRANCH — Jimmy D. "Jim" Smith, 74, of Branch died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, in Fort Smith. He was a retired mechanic and worked in Pentecostal church ministry.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial at McVay Cemetery in Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Elveda; five daughters, Betty Braun of Taylor, Texas, Denise Wood and Renee Carpenter, both of Charleston, Ellen Haworth of Pasco, Wash., and Shirley Vance of Tulsa; four sons, James Smith of Nevada, Monroe Smith of Yuma, Ariz., Darin Smith of Bridgeport, Wash., and Richard Vance of Tulsa; 23 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joe Wood, Monroe Smith, Steve, Harold and J.L. Carpenter and Steve McCarley.
