*When Vernon Franklin Edwards was born on May 26, 1944, in Searcy, Arkansas, his father, Vernon, was 28 and his mother, Melda, was 28. He married Linda Diane Dupere on May 29, 1963, in Stanislaus, California. They had three children during their marriage. He died on March 24, 2004, in his hometown at the age of 59, and was buried there.
